The Yellow and Green Groups are adding the finishing touches to their flying creatures today. The clay was dried and hardened by firing them in our kiln. The color turned from gray to white and the children were able to paint their creatures. Once the paint dries, they will add wings from various media as the final step to finish this project and will be shown to their parents this Friday at the Art Show.
The Red Group made oceans in a bottle today. Adding blue and green food dye created the ocean-like color of the water. Then the children picked their favorite color sand and jewels to pour in the bottom of the water bottle.
Afterwards, the group went outside to have the bottom of their feet painted to make colorful footprints.
The Lego Room at the Community Arts Center is a colorful, fun place for the children to play and eat their snack. The children enjoy building with the huge selection of Lego's we provide.
